SMS Appointment Reminders

SMS Appointment Alerts can be used by dentists, health care professionals or any other types of organisations that have a need of scheduling appointments and want to send reminders to their customers (e.g. lawyers, notaries, financial advisors, teachers, coaches, trainers, consultants, etc..).

SMS Appointment Reminders will reduce 'no-shows' and stimulate repeat business.
It's less intrusive than a phone call, and also much easier and less time consuming for dentist's staff.
It's fast, simple, cost effective and easy to use and only requires an Internet connection and subscription to the service.

Many dentist offices use 'non-premium' or email based SMS messaging solution.
So called Non-premium or Regular SMS service means that SMS is delivered via email.
That's why this kind of service is either free or low-priced - as you know - sending an email doesn't really cost anything.

On top of it, many wireless cariers, when delivering SMS via email, don't actually deliver the message directly to the cell phone, but rather a message that says "You've received a message from NNNN, reply READ to this message to read it".
This process is very troublesome for the receipients, and many of them don't bother replying and waiting for the answer.
As a result they are annoyed, and they still did not get your message !

Premium SMS service offered by us delivers SMS directly to the recipient, via one of the wireless protocols suported by the recipient's wireless carrier instead of email.
It is more reliable, faster, and easier for the recipients to handle.
When sending reminders, you have an option of sending SMS reminders to the cell phones, or Text-to-Speech messages delivered to Landline phones (or any other kind of phone for that matter).

To use SMS Appointment Reminders you simply need to signup for the SMS Matrix account, and you are ready to send SMS (or Voice) messages to your patients via our website!

Reminders - SMS and Voice - How does it work?

By selecting top-menu function Functions/Reminders it is possible to send Reminders.
For example, if you are a dentist, you can send bulk reminders to your patients - as SMS or Voice (Text-to-Speech) messages.

Reminders consist of two parts:
- Message Template, for example:

 Dear <NAME>, doctor Smith would like you to confirm your dentist appointment on <WEEKDAY>,
 <TIME12> next week. Please call 250-123-1234 to confirm.

The following Fields can be used in the template:

- List of recipients to be notified

Each recipient entry consists of the phone number, name and date/time of the appointment.
Entries can be either manually entered, or copied and pasted from another source (e.g. data exported from dentist's own database).
Data/Time can be defined in two different ways (see examples above).
Numeric_Date_Time field (see examples for Ronald and Jenny above) can consist any reasonable non-numerical separators. Separators can be mixed (as in the example above for Jenny).
If Weekday field is not provided (as in the example above for Albert), template field <WEEKDAY> can not be used. The Time should always be provided in 24H format.

Once entered, based on the message template and the list of recipients, system will generate actual SMS or Voice (Text-to-Speech) messages, and deliver them to the recipients. SMS Messages are limited (by most carriers) to 160 characters, Voice messages have no such limit.

As an option, SMS messaging functionality could be integrated with your existing software via our SMS Gateway.
